I have a new little sweetheart in my life. Her name is Peanut Daisy.  She is four years old and was already named Peanut so I added the Daisy.  :-)   Dad was a german shepherd and mum was a corgi and she was rescued from a bad place.  Now she is happy and contented and filling our lives with joy and laughter.  I hope we have her for many, many years.

Some cute new visitors to my backyard. A wild mummy duck came to show me her ducklings. Sweet little chirpy things. I sure hope they stay safe as there are a lot of predators in the field.  I love little ducks .. they remind me of boats .. floating along on the surface seemingly at ease but those tiny legs must be paddling like mad.  So wonderful.   Living in the woods is spectacular as I never know what I'm going to come across next.

Our grass is growing so quickly it needs cutting every three days... and the weather is warm .. actually too warm for this time of year .. and already we have forest fires happening down south. I hate hearing about those.  Devastating to wildlife and they consume so many thousands of hectares. Too big to put out.  Breaks my heart.

A birthday card to add to your stash .... family and friends would love receiving this one.

The more years I have on this planet the more I seem to love all things to do with nature. With mothers day coming up what more can one say when you look at these mothers with their babies.
They bring joy to my heart and I love them all.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mums out there.

If you are a regular visitor to my blog you'll know that I love changing things around.  Life's too short to stick to one background or theme or colour....  :-)
It's like the seasons.... white for the winter with lots of snow.... soft greens for the spring ... reminds me of the grass growing out back now that the snow has melted.  Pretty flowers for the summer and fall or autumn as we say back in Australia brings beautiful colours of the falling leaves and of course Halloween.   Red for Christmas, and on it goes.

Perhaps my preference for changing things around might stem from the fact that I mostly wear black. Little flat black shoes sometimes with a bow on the front but always peek a boo toes, a black sweater in the winter or a black t-shirt ... then of course my black short cropped capri trousers in the summer and long warm black trousers for the winter.  Black winter boots, and black coats of course with fur on the collar or shiny buttons.   It was the same back in Australia when I used to work at the Museum and Art Gallery.  Most of the people there wore black ... very professional and always looked nice.   Now all I have to do is tame my craving for black handbags ... I think I have about eleven of them all shapes and sizes ... short handles, long straps, different clasps, patent leather, all sorts of designs.  oh well.... my hubby loves black too.  :-))  thank goodness.

A pretty image to use to send to those Mother's you adore..... mums, daughters, mum-in-laws, grandmums, stepmums,   It comes larger when you click on the image and save it from there.

We've been looking for a new car. The old Jeep is nearly on its last legs and living up here in the snow and the cold we certainly need a reliable vehicle to get us around.   4 wheel drive is great too.  So many choices,   It's a difficult decision because so many of the new ones look pretty much the same.  I guess it will come down to a test drive and our budget so in the meantime is interesting to get all the brochures and ideas and reviews.   We'll keep looking.....

Woke up to snow this morning.....  and I thought spring was here ... not so.  The day turned right around towards end of the afternoon and we had lovely sunshine... but my little squirrel friend had snow on his head when I went to feed him at 9 a.m.   I enjoy our chats and watch his antics with great delight as he chases the birds away from the seeds.   He "owns" the back yard and all that it has in it.

Cute little girl.... I love black and white stripes...
Use her as you wish but please don't upload it to any other sites.

I deleted my Yahoo groups this morning. It seems "the times are a changing" ....

People I guess don't want to learn how to make things, create their own images or design stationeries or tags or anything else anymore. It's easier now to send someone a text for their birthday or just use their facebook accounts so many people weren't sharing regularly and I didn't see why it should always have to be me nagging them to do so or being the only one to share the pretties.  Oh well....  it comes to everything. Much like the VCR's we don't use anymore .. now its all DVD's and digital television stuff.  And I used to like those big red phone booths scattered around the countryside or towns for people to use.  Gosh I'm showing my age .... only see them in old movies now.

It got me to thinking about all the other things we don't use any more.  They were all such good creations in their day.  Do people have carpet sweepers anymore.  Those little box contraptions on a long handle that would pick up the crumbs from the carpet.  And how on earth did we manage before bottled water came to be.  I'm never without my bottle of beautiful liquid.   The world is getting way too "fancy" now.  As much as I love my computer I don't trust them to run things ... keep track of my bank account, fly planes, and all the other stuff they do for us now.  Makes me wonder what  the future holds for us all.   We can only guess.   :-))

Disappointing to have someone in a European country steal the previews of my images for sale at Etsy and then have them printed onto T-shirts and selling them.  I was appalled that someone would do that ... original images maybe... but not the ones with my big wording across it to stop this kind of thing.  I reported her to the place where she was selling them and they de-activated her account ... but I've found she is also selling them in many other places.  Makes me want to give up my shoppe and just sit outside in the sunshine and watch the grass grow or the birds sing.   Urgh!!!!  Please if you come across any sites selling my designs I sure would appreciate you telling me.

Don't forget there are over 540 beautiful digital collage sheets at my Etsy Shoppe ...for you to use in all sorts of ways.  Decorate for Spring... I had one customer yesterday who wanted to print out a beautiful vintage lady with pink roses and jewels and add it to her newly painted cupboard in her bedroom.  Another used the images she chose to print out invitations to her daughter's birthday party...and another was going to print her French inspired images onto fabric bags she was going to sell at the local fair soon .... so many ideas.   I'm always amazed at what people do with my graphics .... and love hearing from them.

I hope you like these two cards.  Nice ones to have in your stash to send to family and friends....

gee whiz this year is going by so quickly I can't quite believe it. Shops have all the Easter stuff out for sale even before Valentines Day had happened. It will be spring and summer which will be nice particularly this year because we seem to have heaps of snow and even I'm tired of it.  I look forward to my little garden growing and blooming prettily.  Roll on spring ... bring us some warmth.

These little darlings sure make us smile.  The big white dog in the kitchen sink here looks just like my beautiful Dozer who died in 2013.  I can't believe its been that long.  He never sat in our sink but he was pure white with big ears and I could well imagine him doing this in his younger days. He looks like he's watching his mum walk down the driveway or get in her car ..

And the little brown one below ... squishing the cat ... he's gorgeous and the cat doesn't seem to mind one bit. Warm and snuggled, happy to be close to his furry friend ..just beautiful   ... I wonder who was first on the bean bag bed.... did the cat slip under the dog or did the dog sit on top of the cat.  ..

With my leg still being sore from my fall on the ice back in November I think I'm becoming a bear.  Growling of course because of the pain .. but more so because of the snow surrounding us.  I love nothing better than hanging out in my deliciously soft bed and watching the snow fall.  Snuggling down and listening to my audio books and wishing that when I got out of my bed that I would be several pounds lighter like the bears are when they emerge from their sleepy hollows in the spring.  Some of them give birth and don't even know it .. what a surprise that would be to wake up and find some wriggling little ones snuggled up to you.   The snow is piling up and up ... and more is on the way.   Oh well.... back to my bed, with a nice cup of tea and a slice of cheese cake ....  gotta love these little dudes ... they have it right.

As you know I love bears and these little guys were inspired by the real bears here
around me in British Columbia, Canada.  I always paint their faces first so they can more or less
watch as I create the rest of their bodies and surroundings.  I love making them.

Two for you below to add to your birthday stash if you
are saving them to send to family and friends.
Please don't upload them to any other place.
You can click on them and they come up larger.

Gosh the year is already flying by. I have a 65th birthday tomorrow and wish I was back in Australia to share it with my friends. We'd surely be going to the wonderful Wrest Point Casino on the edge of the Derwent River in Hobart for some afternoon tea. Magnificent and very, very English ... decadent I should say with heaps of gorgeous desserts.....  I can only be thankful that I wouldn't be going on the contraption below.  Yikes!

Not sure that I could handle one of these magnificent machines.....doesn't look too easy to steer or hang on to.  I guess it got them places and saved some walking but I wonder at what cost.  And trying to be on a bicycle in those clothes would be a nightmare.

Snow is piling up and up here in northern British Columbia. At least this week isn't supposed to be quite so cold but we'll still get more snow.  Deer foot prints tell me they have visited our little yard from the field and are always on the look out for sunflower seeds that might have fallen from the bird feeders.

Lots of sweet little chickadees flying around waiting for me to feed them and of course the squirrels think they own all the real estate so they are always arguing about who gets what.  Quite an adventure going down to the fence ... seeing whats been happening overnight and there are always heaps of different types of foot prints.

two pretty cards for you today ... please don't upload them to any other sharing places.

Happy New Year to you all.  I'm sitting here after shovelling snow .. it's been coming down all day and is piling up pretty quickly.  I hobbled around on the deck with the shovel and managed to get a lot of it tossed over the railing .. light as fluff ... thank goodness.  I sat here and thought I could change my blog background so I did what I usually do with blogspot and nothing worked only their templates so I chose (for the time being anyway) a nice beach scene that looks like I am back in Australia.  Phoned some friends over the holidays and had long, lovely chats ... they are enjoying hot weather .. whilst we are freezing up here in Canada.
