Gorgeous, gorgeous, hat ... I love this stunning bow and nothing is better for elegance than black and white.  It reminds me of the hats I saw in the movie Titanic which I watched  the other night in bed on my tablet.  Love that movie ... and I still think about living here in Canada and knowing that if I travelled east to Newfoundland the Titanic is off the coast from there.  So sad .. 3 miles down.

My dear little Peanut Daisy dog has nearly been with me a whole year already. She arrived on May 21st with a gorgeous little face, looking up at me at the front door, spectacular tail wagging madly and the eagerness in her eyes that was asking me "could I live here with you".  I'll never forget our first meeting.  She looked up at me and I looked down at her and it was love at first sight.  I can't believe how quickly the time as gone.  I sure do love her and its returned to me a hundred times over in all the sweet and funny things she does every single day.  She needed a home and I needed a little pal.  Bless you sweetheart for the joy you bring to both our lives.

Happy Easter to you all.   It comes around so quickly and I can't believe winter is over and spring has sprung here in the woods of British Columbia.  We have thousands of beautiful geese flying home ... ducks and swans as well .. and they honk and "talk" as they fly over making an enormous noise.  I love seeing them return.  Anyway I hope the Easter bunny brings you something delicious ... stay safe and enjoy the break with your family and friends.

Sad this week to hear of the death of Nancy Reagan.  She and hubby President Ronald Reagan were such a devoted couple.  Every image I see on the television of them both they were holding hands. Now they are together again ....

Easter comes early this year....   here is a pretty image you could use for all sorts of purposes.  Print it out and tie it onto a gift with a gorgeous ribbon ...

Don't forget I have my DVD for sale with over 550 digital collage sheets for you to use however you wish.  I get lots of great comments from the ladies (and gents) who buy the images and I'm often surprised at what they do with them.   You can see previews of just some of the available
digital collage sheets on the DVD when you visit my whimsydust website.

One lady sent me a beautiful photo of six of my prints that she had framed in gorgeous shabby chic off white frames and they looked so pretty on the wall of her lovely room.   Another took a photo of a cake she had made and used an image to decorate the top. Another one told me she had great comments from the tea party she had and where she had made cookies and used icing that was printed on.  She had my beautiful flowers on top of each cookie. Lots of customers want to know if they can use them for decorating their furniture  and others want to print them onto fabric and make quilt blocks.

Others want to use the decorative envelopes to print out and use to send money to their families when its gift giving time.  And then there are the girls who make their lovely pocket mirrors or jewelry. Wow... there are some clever ladies out there.

Seems like spring is coming quickly.  The snow is finally beginning to melt although we had a short burst of huge snow flakes this morning.  I love seeing the grass beginning to break through but I don't like the mud.  Can't wait till I can sit out on the deck and enjoy watching the flowers bloom.  So pretty and I'm constantly amazed at how anything survives after being buried for months in ice.
This is a great photo.  The tree you see in the distance was felled by beavers which also have a dam built further closer to the camera.  They are wonderful little fellows and I love finding their dams.
Click on the image to see it up close.

A seamless background tile for you... would look great on stationery or as a background for a card or wallpaper ... all sorts of uses for this one.  And being seamless means when you add it to something it will cover the whole area as one image.  I love making these.   Please don't upload it to any sharing place.

punch out the hole at the top and tie a pretty red ribbon for valentine's day. Cut around the
outside and you'll have a lovely tag to tie to your gift.
Have a wonderful Valentine's Day ...

I thought I might close my blog but then reinvented it a bit and instead I closed my Etsy Shoppe.  I know some of you might still like my DVD .. it's been very popular and I have enjoyed putting it together using all the digital collage sheets I had for sale.  Many, many hours, days, months and years have gone into creating my Etsy shoppe but it is time for a change for me so who knows what I might get up to.  I might learn French .. (again),... did it in school for 3 years but I was very young and not so interested in it then. Now we have French on everything we buy. English on one side and French on the other.  Our Prime Minister here in Canada is French as are most of the people in Montreal. It's such a pretty language....   as is the one below for you.  Please do not upload it to any sharing place.

Happy New Year to everyone who come to read my blog.   :-))
2015 seemed to fly by so quickly and it was a year where I couldn't do much because of my injury after falling on the ice .... I spent most of it hobbling around or just sitting in a comfy chair.  So much recovered  now so hopefully this year will be better.   Hoping you all have a great 2016.

Enjoy .... but please don't share them anywhere else.

Wow ... just returned from a long trip down to Vancouver to see relatives and then east to see more relatives.  Just got home yesterday and today there is heaps of snow and lots of high winds so we picked the right day to travel.  Actually two days ....   I sure don't like those long, highways that seem to go on forever, with trucks and cars zooming past you at unbelievable speeds... very scary ....

I had fun at the Walmart because I don't get to visit one of those at all ... got lots of clothes and pretty things .. now I'm back home to have a "vacation" and rest up.  Our little Peanut Daisy took the long trip all in her stride. Slept most of the way in the car and was totally behaved and loving to all those new people she met along the way.   She too is glad to be back ...   And I didn't buy a single new handbag.   lol .....

End of summer already....back home in Australia they are getting ready to see their lovely gardens blooming and the heat for Christmas.  I don't miss the hot days at all but instead i am patiently waiting to see the gorgeous snow fill up our yard and this year we have a snow thrower which should help.  Shovelling the snow seems to be the only real exercise I get during the long winter months and I'm certainly not going to be walking on the ice....can't risk another bad fall.  Hurry up will give me an excuse to buy a warm new coat.

Love these .. always elegant in black and white

Black and white images are among my favourites.  And of course if they are vintage they always show the lovely costumes and hats etc.  When I worked at the Museum and Art Gallery in Australia I handled a lot of decorative arts which included costumes and jewelry from Victorian times especially.  I put on my white gloves before I touched anything and had the most enjoyable times ... not like being at work at all.   I think the image below is particularly beautiful with the lace curtains, collar and cloth on the window sill.  And she's a pretty lady as well.

Enjoying the tennis

Sitting up in bed watching the US Open tennis with my Miss Peanut Daisy dog. She's super snuggly....and of course wants to help me devour my cookies. Rain is coming down heavily which is good because the rivers and streams are very low which will make it tough for the beautiful salmon to come home to where they were born. They are so incredibly clever .... much like the geese.   Nothing nicer than hearing rain when you are tucked up in bed.
