These pretty cards are some of the cute goodies from my Etsy Shoppe. A lady purchased them from me and now sells them in her shop.  I love seeing what people do with my graphics .. they look really great here with the ribbons ....
I love animals as you would know if you are a regular reader of my blog.  They make me smile every single day.  Last night and a couple of nights before that I heard in the darkness of the early morning... a weird noise coming from the field behind our house. We live in the woods and often see deer, bears, moose, wolves, coyotes and other cool characters, but this voice I'd not heard before. I think it was a cougar perhaps or something similar. It sounded like it was saying "wow, wow wow". I sure wish I could find out what it was..... At first I thought it might be injured but it soon went into the distance and its voice was much quieter.  And it was back .. looking for food no doubt.

I woke up early this morning anxious to get to the big, huge yard sale we have in our little country town this time of year.  It's always fun and you never know what you might find. Now all I have to do is get my sleeping hubby up and 'at em'.   Even old Dozer dog is still napping but that's not too unusual for him. He sure does like to sleep in .... thank goodness the sun is out already and it will be a good day for browsing through all the stuff.  I'll head for the pretty cups and saucers, plates and all things china first.  Then I'll head over to the craft section.  Gotta take a big bag with me to hold the goodies...  :-)

It's a public holiday here in Canada today ... to commemorate Queen Victoria.  She is pictured here marrying Prince Albert.

The dress is very ornate .. and she was quite young.  She was a good Queen much like Queen Elizabeth is today ....

A pretty young girl ... vintage .. and amongst the pink roses.  She comes from my WhimsyDust Etsy Shoppe ...  you can click on the image to see it larger  size and she looks lovely when printed on good quality card paper.

I love the look of cracked old paper ... and there isn't anything much prettier than pink roses.   Arh!!!!  I miss my Aussie pink roses back home in Tasmania.  I would often pick bunches of them and take them to the little country cemetery a little bit away from where I lived and put them on my mum's grave.

Feeling tired this weekend ... having some diabetes hassles and tired of the windy days we've been having.  But our wild ducks have been visiting each day .. so have the multitude of birds all looking for food .. not sure if they have babies already or not but lots of them are fluttering around all looking very busy.  My old Dozer dog is enjoying just lazing around and I've been watching the buds grow on my lilac bushes hoping that the deer don't suddenly come visiting and decide to have lunch in my garden.  Spring is so nice......

A pretty rose graphic card for you....  its original size I think so you can save it from here.   Well another weekend come and gone... went to a birthday party .. had some wine and a barbecue ... it's so nice getting out of the house a bit more now that the weather isn't so cold and snowy.  I love the snow but it's a long, long time in between seeing the flowers each year ...  everything I have now has buds ... and it's a bit of a treasure watching them grow so quickly in the short time they have to grow, and bloom... before winter sets in again.

Wow where has our Spring gone to. We've had nothing but rain and overcast days here in the woods of northern British Columbia (Canada).  I'm thinking the old bears will be considering going back into hibernation if the sun doesn't want to shine.  We've got some geese and some ducks to feed now and of course the little squirrels who just love the sunflower seeds and the peanuts ... (one had a close call this morning when my dear old Dozer dog decided to chase it).   As I write the rain is coming down again.  Oh well... at least the snow has melted down low and I see some buds on my flowers now...  I can't wait for the forget me nots and the lilacs to flower.

WOW I HOPE THIS HAPPENS.. I think its a great idea.

Sydney: Clive Palmer, one of Australia's richest men, has commissioned a Chinese state-owned company to build a 21st Century version of the Titanic.
The mining billionaire told Australian media that construction will start at the end of next year while it would be ready to set sail in 2016.
The plan, he added, is for the vessel to be as similar as possible to the original Titanic in design and specifications, but with modern technology.
Palmer told Australian media that he had signed a memorandum of understanding with CSC Jinling Shipyard to construct the ship.
"It will be every bit as luxurious as the original Titanic but of course it will have state-of-the-art 21st Century technology and the latest navigation and safety systems," he said in a statement.
The announcement comes just weeks after the centenary of the sinking of the ill-fated Titanic. The vessel, the largest luxury ship in its time, struck an iceberg on its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York. It went down on 15 April 1912, leaving more than 1,500 people dead.
"Of course it will sink if you put a hole in it," Palmer said in response to questions from reporters on whether the Titanic replica would sink.
The new vessel is scheduled to sail from London to New York in late 2016, if all goes as planned. "It is going to be designed so it won't sink," he added. "But, of course, if you are superstitious like you are, you never know what could happen."
The cost of the construction is not known, a spokesman for Palmer told Australian media.
The mining magnate from Queensland, who has strong business relations with China, has expanded into tourism. He owns a luxury resort on the Sunshine Coast and has plans to build a fleet of luxury liners.
His plan to build the Titanic replica was announced on the same day that he revealed plans, in a separate news conference, to contest the next federal election in Queensland.
He told reporters that he has expressed interest in standing for Queensland's Liberal National Party (LNP), part of the conservative opposition at federal level, in the Brisbane seat of Lilley - currently held by Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer Wayne Swan.

Gosh blogspot have redone all their insides ... everything is different and so confusing I think. I really do hate it when people change things .. especially when they were working fine in the first place. It's almost like they feel they have to make changes .. no matter what.  Urgh!   Also Yahoo didn't seem to want to work properly today or yesterday. I joined a group and they told me I was in it yet Yahoo hasn't listed me as a member .... oh well... it gave me some extra time to be creative which is what I like best.

A pretty tag for you today. It comes from one of my whimsydust affair Etsy Shoppe collections....
It's much bigger in real life .. so click on the image to see it larger and then you can save and print it out for use on your gifts ....

Yesterday I purchased an absolutely gorgeous screen saver of the Titanic sailing along in the ocean.  It's like I'm in a helicopter flying around and over the ship.  I think its wonderful... so pretty and lovely and of course this time 100 years ago they would have been on board not knowing that the ship would be sinking in a few hours time.

It's 11 a.m. as I type this ... and the ship strikes the iceberg early tomorrow morning ... they will have gone to bed tonight ... and 1500 passengers will have perished in the next 16 hours.   So terribly sad ....

A photo of my boy Dozer taken today after he buried a treat he found under the melting ice and snow.  He decided to re-bury it in a little dirt pile and then cover it up with leaves ... so not only was his nose covered in dirt and grass but also his feet.  He's been having to have his feet washed on a regular basis before he comes in. Hopefully soon the grass will be green and the mud and snow will have vanished.

Over the past week I've been inundated with shows about the magnificent Titanic ... and sad to hear that a cruise ship leaving Southhampton to follow the journey of the Titanic and be on site at the time it sank... April 15th .. .had to turn back because a passenger was ill. Hopefully they still might make it there in time.  How disappointing for the people who had planned their trip of a lifetime for many years.   100th anniversary of the beautiful ship.   I'd love to be on board....  ah! ... even if I keep buying lottery tickets this trip of a lifetime won't be happening again.....

Nothing nicer than violets....  I sure do miss them ... I don't think I've ever seen any here in Canada but in Australia I would call at the florist nearly every morning to get myself a tiny bunch for my office desk....
