I hope all the mums and grand mums had a happy mothers day this past weekend.  I don't have any children but I do have fur babies ... always have had wonderful dogs through the years.  My dear old Dozer now relies on me to lift him up off the floor because his back end is failing him.  Once he's up ... he's off chasing the cat or barking at the deer or the birds down in the yard.  He's a happy big guy ... we had a good mothers day together.

It was a snowy day today.. very weird here in the woods when snow came storming down and swirling around for about an hour and piling up on the lawn and trees, fences and everything in its path. It stayed overnight and then melted in the morning thank goodness.  I bet the real bears were wondering if they should go back into hibernation. 

 

 

 

Sad happenings this past week.  Boston bombings and all that followed and of course the horrible explosion in West, Texas.  It surely does make you cry ... I'll never understand what is in others minds to want to kill innocent people.

Yikes we have more snow this morning....  looks like we're back in the middle of winter.  Oh well...  I guess it will be a good day to create on the computer or listen to my audio books....

I thought our Spring had sprung ..  :-) 

By the look of the snow coming down its gone back into hiding and seems more like winter now again. All the little birds are back hungry and snooping for bird seed and bread and anything else I can give them, and the squirrels are out in force trying to get food from me instead of having to take it from their stash.  I actually wonder if they still have anything left in all their secret little hideaways.  Lately I've been wondering if its worth even getting out of my warm and cozy bed.

A little guy from my collection of bears.  I made him a while back .. and always start with their heads. As I continue making the rest of the bear and the scene they are in the faces seem to take on a character of their own and "watch" what is going on around them.   Super fun to make ... I hope you like him...



I thought some of you might like a card to send to friends on their anniversary. It's my wedding anniversary today... been here in Canada 14 years now after meeting my wonderful Canadian online and leaving Australia with my dog and coming here to live in the woods.  It sure has gone by quickly.   

 

I've been enjoying my audio books .. listening to them on my wonderful little tablet which surely must be the marvel of the ages ...  It's such a clever device and there is nothing better than having someone read a book to you when you aren't feeling well or any time at all.

I'm patiently waiting for the dentists office to open on Monday.  Terrible pain from a toothache.  I even went to the emergency clinic here in town to get some help from the doctor there for something to ease it so I can sleep.  I hate dentists and I hate anything to do with teeth.  Nothing seems to be working so I have another day to get through before Monday.

Gosh it seems like every time I turn on the computer there's been yet another windows update and something else has changed.  Yesterday it was my files ... all of a sudden they had locks on them again. It had happened in the past and I managed to get them back right but again it happened.  So annoying.  Also we lost our internet explorer and now have IE10 ... with no favourites bar at the top.  Windows 8 was bad enough ... urgh!   It's a wonder anyone bothers with computers .. and all these updates seem to be unnecessary. All they do is change the buttons around.  Oh well I seem to have things now again the way I want them but what a hassle...

 

 

 

I'm not sure if I've showed you these pics before. They are what two customers have done with the images from my Etsy Shoppe.... I love getting feedback and especially photos.  I'm so glad they are making pretty things with my images.  They loved them and I hope they sell lots of them at fairs or online or wherever it is they have them .

They look so lovely printed.

 

 

The snow is coming down today here in the woods ... so pretty but it means I have to do a lot of shovelling later. And I thought spring was on its way... even had a little bit of grass appearing ... now its all gone again and everything is white.  But it also means I can sit at the computer and do some designing and creating for my Etsy Shoppe which is not a bad thing at all. Cozy and warm inside the house, with my darling doggie by my side and a filled up tummy (carrot and walnut muffins and a lovely hot cup of tea).. what more could a girl want.  :-)

The beginning of a brand new week..... how do they manage to come around so quickly.  Is it an age thing where as you get older the days, weeks and years go by faster.   This past weekend I've spent trying to figure out my wonderful new android tablet... I love it completely. Everything is so pretty and easy to access ... now that I've figured out how to wirelessly transfer all my books to it.  I've got about 1200 added so I'll have plenty to read in the summer out on the deck whilst old Dozer dog snoozes in the shade close to his mother.  Me ...  it's always nice to enjoy the birds and just to sit and have lunch or just watch the grass grow as we say back in Australia.

We have new neighbours .... and today Dozer discovered there's now a cat living next to his yard.  I don't think he's going to like that one tiny little bit.  It will be interesting to see what happens when it begins sitting on the fence or up in the trees nearby trying to get the birds because old Dozer dog doesn't like anything out there much which includes the birds, the squirrels and the deer and definitely not a cat.  I will keep my camera close this spring and summer ... it should prove to be quite intriguing. :-)

A pretty girl for you ... I really like this one... I guess its the soft colours and her lovely face.   Well I've ordered a new little android tablet so I can sit up in bed and surf the net and read my books and all sorts of other great things.  I'm looking forward to sitting out on the deck when the spring and summer comes with my old Dozer dog ... he can sleep whilst I read my book ..  gosh I love him. He's such a sweet and dear old soul... and we sure are lucky to have found each other.

Valentines Day has come and gone....

I hope you all received something nice from those who love you.  Now we have Easter goodies in the stores.  Our snow is melting pretty quickly here in the woods but winter sure isn't over yet and we could get a big downfall any time.  I'm getting eager to see the green grass and to see if my lilac bushes survived the winter.  I also planted some sunflower seeds and hope they will grow as well. I had one last year that came up by its own and was quite stunning and absolutely huge. I loved it.  They are so cheery and pretty.
