Obama gift Registry..

Got a birthday, anniversary, or wedding coming up?

Let your friends know how important this election is to you—register with Obama 2012, and ask for a donation in lieu of a gift. It’s a great way to support the President on your big day. Plus, it’s a gift that we can all appreciate—and goes a lot further than a gravy bowl.

Heavens above I can't believe they are doing this.  If you are a regular reader to my blog you will know how much I don't like Obama. He is ruining the United States and of course the rest of the world follows in the fallout from everything ...  how can they have the gall to ask people to forego their wedding  or birthday presents and instead give the amount of the gift in dollars to his campaign. Next he'll be asking brides to forego their wedding dresses and instead spend the money on getting him re-elected.   I think they are very desperate ... and this is appalling. Not to mention embarrassing and very "un Presidential like"  and one more thing he doesn't know... that its a "gravy boat" not a gravy bowl.   Urgh!

Don't forget to check out my Etsy Shoppe.  There are over 335 digital collage sheets that you can use for all sorts of purposes. Commercial use  is one of them... whether you are into web design, craft fairs, decoupage or scrapbooking, cake decorating, there are so many uses for the images.  I'm always surprised at what my customers show me they have done with the graphics.

There are lots of pretty banners for your own Etsy Shoppe if you have one ... or use them for headers to blogs or adding a pretty greeting to insert into your emails. I'm always thinking "outside the box" for all sorts of things I come in contact with and especially at garage sales where perhaps I see a table cloth I like and think that it would make great place mats ...  or maybe a topper for the window in the spare bedroom.  Sometimes its just a nice box I see that I could repaint or cover in a pretty fabric or paper.  So check out the shoppe and I'm sure you'll find something you like. Frame it maybe and tie a gorgeous elegant soft pink satin ribbon to the frame and hang it in your bedroom.  And there's a saving for you if you use the coupon code in the right hand margin of my blog....

I sure do love my little Kindle. I've got lots of books onboard and can read till my hearts content.  I've also got a new  program to compliment it called Calibre where I can change the format of some books if they are in Epub then I can make them into Mobi so I can then download them to my hand held device.  I'll be glad when I pass my driving test so I can forget about the darn road rules book and get back to reading what I love best....mysteries, romances and anything Titanic or Jack the Ripper.  Great fun and if you haven't got a Kindle ... you are missing a great experience if you are a book lover like I am.

Below is a card for you ... to add to your stash. Click on the image to see it correct size.

I had my haircut today... gosh it seems to grow so quickly.  Now I'm all spruced up and ready to go.... go where ... lol .... our little country town doesn't have much in the way of places to go or things to do unless you are into hunting, fishing, camping etc...  It seems to be a nice place for a man to live but us girls need somewhere pretty to shop and to browse amongst the goodies.  Arh!   I do miss my Aussie friends and our talks, walks and afternoon teas.  Perhaps my old Dozer dog will sit out on the deck with me and enjoy the time with my cup of tea and a cookie.... he'll get a piece of cookie for sure ...   And of course there's Fathers Day this weekend. I do miss my old Aussie dad.

Watching Nascar racing and the Canadian grand prix filled in the weekend for me. I was astounded to see the guys in the pit crew change all four tyres and refuel the car in 3.7 seconds.  Amazing....   I mowed the lawn last evening at about 8 pm. and woke today to find a whole bunch of 3 inch if not more high dandelions taking over and it looks like I never mowed at all.   Urgh!   That's one thing about the warmer weather... mowing the lawn never seems to stop being a priority. I think I'd rather shovel snow....

A card for you today to add to your stash... It's always nice to add these to an email if you have a friend who  isn't well.... Click on it to see it larger...

Don't forget you can leave comments here at my blog... and I love hearing from you all....

I love this photo.  It was taken by a guy at the camp. The dogs were tied up outside in the snow and along came the polar bear. Everyone thought the dog would be killed but instead they got this wonderful photo of a couple of friends ...   The dog was not hurt ... and the polar bear wandered away after he'd played with the dog for quite a while....

This old mum has her hands full....  so sweet...

Gosh these weeks go flying by.  June already .. half way through the year... Our summer seems to come and go so quickly up here in the woods.  Our flowers grow like there is no tomorrow ... bursts of growth you can almost see happening.  I'm still waiting though for my lilacs to bloom.  They smell so nice and are so pretty.

A desktop wallpaper for you this morning.  I photographed one of my teacups for this one. It sure does look nice on my large computer screen ... so click on the image to see it a better size for saving or installing.
