Thank you Patricia for sending me this gorgeous photo of the three albino deer. I've never seen ones like this before. I have seen an albino moose but never deer. How beautiful they are. I sure hope the hunters don't find them because what a tragedy it would be to have them killed. Live long little ones.... I'll keep you in my prayers.

Well I had a quiet birthday this past Sunday. Not much to do up here in the woods especially when one doesn't feel well. Another year older ... not particularly another year wiser I don't think though. These years go by so quickly I just can't keep up. Another birthday and I'll be getting an old age pension so I'm actually looking forward to that. A cute little vintage girl for you with pink roses ....

I've been watching the Tennis (Australian Open) from Melbourne ... and they have had a horrible heat wave. Players have been having to deal with 109 degrees .. wow .. I know what that's like but I'm now enjoying the coolness of Canada. Lots of ice though which I don't like. My little pet squirrel is always busy waiting for me to arrive with his apple pieces and other fruits and veggies .. but today he slipped off the fence as he was carrying an apple core. No big deal he must have thought because he was down onto the snow in a flash to retrieve his valuable cargo. He's so cute....
a couple of images for you to snag if that's what you like to do when you come for a visit to my blog....

So annoying today. I lost $20 .... I've never lost any money in my life but after going to the "hole in the wall" bank thingy where you put your card in and withdraw the money I withdrew $60. I went to the supermarket to get milk and bread and handed the lady what I thought was a $20 note. I am hating this Canadian money. New bills so slippery and shiny that nobody notices two stuck together. I will have to start crunching them up when I get new ones .. to make them less slippery. Obviously she didn't notice either that there were 2 instead of one $20 note..... Oh dear... !

My goodness its been cold. Good times to stay indoors and be creative .... nothing better than being at the computer designing pretty things, with a nice hot cup of tea close by and some cookies ... and watching the snow fall outside. Last week we had the biggest snow flakes I've ever seen since I've lived here (15 years in February). I can't quite believe its been that long. The flakes were gigantic.. about the size of the top of a cup.. they splattered onto my black sweater and black coat ... but the nicest thing I like to do is turn my face to the sky and watch them coming from the heavens. Just gorgeous. A snowy lady for you today .. hope you like her.... She does not however, look like I do when I'm out in the snow. Makes you wonder how the Victorians managed with their big flowing dresses ... all those petticoats and hemlines dragging in the snow.

Happy New Year to you all. We've had lots of snow ... piled high and now with the cold weather its turned to ice ... I always feel sad when this happens because the deer and the bigger animals in the woods can't get through it but the wolves and other predators can easily walk across it and bring down the beautiful deer. Many would lose their lives ... their lives can be so cruel at times. They sure have a lot to deal with just to survive .. they don't need to get killed by trains and traffic and hunters. I keep them all in my prayers and hope that one day the hunters will stop their senseless killing just for the "fun" of it.
